Whilst most of us are content with using our iPads to fling angry birds at evil pigs, post pictures of our lunch on Instagram, answer incessant emails from our boss or twat about on Facebook and Twitter, Yamaoka had other ideas and was using it to recreate classical works of art.
Yamaoka uses only his finger tips to create digital masterpieces on his iPhone using the $2.99 app, Art Studio. We cant even type accurately on our smartphones (and often when we do get it right, auto-correct goes and ducks it up) yet Japanese artist Seiko Yamaoka is able to create incredible pieces of art just by finger painting on his handheld devices.
After mastering the art of finger painting on the iPad, Yamaoka then took his unusual artform to other platforms like iPhones and the iPod Touch. Wow, this geezer is incredible, you wouldnt want to challenge him to a game of Draw Something!
He has also created numerous other incredibly detailed pieces of art using only his fingertips and ArtStudio on the iPad!
"As time marches on, the market is continuously saturated with creative programs that help artists more easily realize their wildest artistic fantasies, but without technological competence it doesnt seem to matter how well you wield a paint brush"
