The photojournalism community is shaken by the news that esteemed photojournalist and filmmaker Tim Hetherington has died during a firefight in Misurata, Libya, while photographing the Libyan rebels’ struggle against Muammar Gaddafi and his regime.
He was injured in an RPG attack by Gadaffi supporters. The same blast killed photojournalist Tim Hetherington and Hondros later died of his injuries. These are some of the last photos he filed:

Rebel forces assaulted the downtown positions of troops loyal to Libyan strongman Moammar Gaddaf trapping several in a building that fought back instead of surrendering, firing on the rebels in the building and seriously wounding two of them during the standoff.
