Sculptor and Chicagoland firefighter Michael Roche

Sculptor and Chicagoland firefighter Michael Roche ha pursued two full-time careers during the past 25 years.  Following the 9-11 tragedy, Michael went to New York to offer his help-as did thousands of other firefighters from across the nation. 

During this time, several firefighters familiar with Michael’s work encouraged him to create a tribute that would honor their fellow brothers.  “Brotherhood of Honor” emerged.  The accuracy and attention to detail as shown, is Michael’s trademark as an artist.

Born and raised in the Midwest. Michael Roche graduated from Elmira College in New York with a degree in Art Education and later studied at the Ontario College of Art. For over twenty-five years he has worked as a commercial sculptor creating fine art pieces for such notable clients as Warner Brothers, MGM, 7-up, Pillsbury and Enesco.

For Michael, creating a successful series involves intense research. His unique sensitivity for detail, accuracy and motif has earned him world-wide recognition.
